Project Brief

The Strategic Communication Services for Reintegration in Iraq project aims to strengthen government-led communication efforts that support the reintegration of returnees in the governorates of Anbar, Ninewa, and Salah al-Din over a 12-month period. The project addresses existing communication challenges, including inconsistent public messaging, limited institutional coordination, and the spread of misinformation, which negatively affect public trust and community acceptance of reintegration initiatives.

The project focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic communication framework through the production of high-quality multimedia content, including documentary videos, short-form videos, graphics, written stories, infographics, podcasts, and social media campaigns. In addition, it provides communication planning, advisory services, thematic awareness campaigns, and standardized visual identity materials to ensure consistent and effective messaging across government institutions.

A key component of the project is building the capacity of government counterparts through practical workshops, on-the-job coaching, and training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for communication, audience analysis, and misinformation monitoring. Regular monitoring and performance reporting will help evaluate communication effectiveness and improve future messaging strategies.

Overall, the project seeks to enhance public awareness, strengthen trust between communities and government institutions, and promote sustainable, conflict-sensitive reintegration through clear, credible, and evidence-based communication.
