- Introduction
Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is an international organization dedicated to protecting civilians and strengthening peace through nonviolent means. In alignment with this mission, NP Iraq intends to establish the Baaj Center for Nonviolence and Healing.
This center is envisioned as a safe, inclusive, and restorative space for communities affected by conflict. The facility will promote dialogue, learning, and healing, reflecting NP’s core values: nonviolence, direct action, radical connection, independence, nonpartisanship, and accountability.
- Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for Turnkey Delivery, managing the project from conceptual design through to final commissioning.
- Design & Engineering: Develop conceptual and architectural designs, including 2D/3D visualizations and design narratives.
- Site Preparation: Clearing, leveling, and excavation.
- Civil Works: Foundations, reinforced concrete structures, masonry, and roofing.
- Finishing: Interior/exterior plastering, painting, tiling, and thermal insulation.
- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing): Full electrical wiring, solar power integration, water supply, and sewage systems.
- External Works: Perimeter fencing, landscaping, and a communal courtyard.

- Submission Requirements
Interested vendors must provide the following documentation:
- Company Profile: Evidence of registration with the Ministry of Planning and a proven track record of projects in the Nineveh region.
- Priced Bill of Quantities (BoQ): All items must be quoted in IQD (Iraqi Dinar).
- Technical Proposal: Including a detailed work schedule (Gantt Chart) and CVs for key personnel (Site Engineer, Safety Officer, etc.).
- Security & Logistics Plan: A brief outline for managing site security and material transport within the Baaj area.

- Terms and Conditions
- Payment Terms: Progress-based payments following inspection and approval of milestones.
- Warranty: A minimum 12-month defects liability period is required post-handover.
Note to Bidders:
- All materials must be sourced from reputable suppliers and must meet the quality specifications outlined in the Technical Annex. Local labor from the Baaj district should be prioritized where possible to support community reintegration.
