Aim of the position:
The Data Collector will support the collection and digitalization of data during field visits, surveys and interviews conducted under the AICS InGrowth (Inclusive Work and Growth: Pathways for Economic Development and Job Inclusion) project.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and data collection activities with protentional beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Record responses accurately using digital or paper-based tools.
- Follow the assigned sampling methodology and data collection procedures.
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy before submission.
- Obtain informed consent and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Respect local customs, organizational policies, and safeguarding principles.
- Submit completed data on a daily basis and report any challenges encountered in the field.
- Attend all required training and briefing sessions.
Language: Arabic fluency is required; English (B2/C2).
Reporting to: MEAL Department
Counselor: MEAL Officer/Coordinator
Duty Station: Governorate of Baghdad (Abu Ghraib and Shu’ala), Qadissiya (Diwaniyah) and Thi Qar (Nassiriyah)
Salary / Daily Rate: 33,000 IQD per actual working day.
Timetable: The service shall be provided on an on-call basis, according to project needs and upon prior coordination with the supervisor. When engaged, the Contractor may be requested to work up to eight (8) hours per day, normally between Sunday and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The total engagement shall not exceed forty (40) hours per week. Payment shall be made only for the actual days worked and approved through the timesheet.
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience in collecting and processing data.
- Previous experience in using Kobo or Activity Info is mandatory.
- Experience working with an international development organization will be a plus
Required skills and experiences:
- Excellent communication skills. ·
- Professional English language skills required, with fluent Arabic
- Fluency in the local language; knowledge of English is an asset.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical data collection practices.
Deliverables
- Complete all assigned interviews and surveys within the agreed timeframe.
- Submit accurate and complete datasets daily.
- Report field observations, challenges, and any data quality concerns to the supervisor.
