Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) designing and implementing emergency, post-emergency, and development programs since 1994. The programs fall within the fields of water, hygiene, and sanitation (WASH), civil engineering (Shelter), food security, rural development (Livelihood), socio-educational child protection, and psychosocial support (Protection). In 2022, its committed teams operate in 10 countries in Asia, Africa, and Middle East Region. TGH has been working in Iraq since June 2013, providing WASH in schools, winterization distribution, cash for education, youth empowerment, Case management, and psychosocial support as well as livelihood activities to Syrian refugees and IDPs in KRI. TGH developed its expertise in delivering Child Protection assistance to displaced, refugee, and host children in camp and out-of-camp settings. TGH had worked in the capacity building of the General Directorate of Social Care and Development (GDSCD, more commonly referred to as DoSA / Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KR-I), the Social Protection Department in Ninewa and a National NGO in the Centre and South of Federal Iraq to strengthen the child protection case management systems. The present project “Football for Peace, Resilience and Prevention of Violent Extremism” is to protect and empower at-risk children and youth in conflict and climate-affected areas of Shirqat and Mosul by promoting access to sport, inclusive education, and child protection. The project aims to empower at-risk children and youth in Iraq through sport initiatives, inclusive education, and child protection services. It promotes psychosocial well-being, social cohesion, culture of peace and resilience by combining structured learning, safe play, and community-based support. Special focus is given to girls and children affected by disrupted education, disabilities, displacement, detention, and from families with ISIS affiliation. |

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
The overall objective of the Project Facilitator is to ensure, under the supervision of project manager, the implementation of activities related life skills, sport activities, and community involvement in children’s well-being and protection, within the frame of the project.
The project facilitators will implement youth empowerment and engagement and football activities in collaboration with Directorate of Youth and Sports according to standard guidelines and donor requirements. He/she will ensure the capacity of Directorate of Youth and Sports, selected youth center and the youth and other targeted beneficiaries is enhanced through capacity building assessments, development of training modules, support the selection of training participants based on specific criteria, quality implementation of trainings, organization of football activities, organization of youth led initiatives and management of workshops. And he/she will ensure strengthening of coordination mechanisms to facilitate more effective youth empowerment and engagement services and Capitalization, institutionalization and continuity of practice in TGH approach to youth engagement and empowerment , football, and PVE issues.
He/she will deliver structured sessions, workshops, and initiatives that promote youth engagement, resilience, social cohesion, and capacity building. The facilitator will ensure inclusivity, child protection, and active participation of children, young women and men, and community volunteers.
She/he will work under the direct and technical supervision of the Project Manager. She/he will provide technical supervision to DoYS team implementing activities in a selected youth center in Shirqat/Mosul.

Responsibility 1: Project Activities Implementation
- Facilitate life skills trainings to strengthen teamwork, leadership, civic engagement, and interpersonal skills.
- Plan, prepare, and implement football sessions, friendly matches, tournaments, and workshops.
- Coordinate regularly with Youth Centers’ staff, coaches, and volunteers to ensure smooth and effective implementation of activities.
- Ensure inclusion of girls, children with special needs, dropped out of schoolchildren and marginalized youth.
- Conduct Focus group discussions FGDs, key informant interview KIIs, and project surveys.
- Assist in mobilizing youth and community members to use rehabilitated football fields.
- Mentor and support youth advisory groups in designing and leading football and youth-led initiatives.
- Encourage youth participation in decision-making and advocacy especially in the youth-led initiatives.
- Support the delivery of training on soft skills, child protection, and inclusive coaching practices.
- Promote safeguarding and child rights principles.
- Maintain accurate attendance sheets for all football sessions, trainings, and workshops.
- Collect and manage survey data from participants and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper recording, storage, and reporting of activity data in line with TGH’s standards.
- Attend coordination meetings and contribute to project decision‑
- Safely store and manage project items (stationery, refreshments, office supplies, football materials) and ensure their proper use during activities.
- Implement non-formal education activities with the support of PM.
Responsibility 2: Logistics and administration/finances
- support logistical and administrative issues related to the implementation of TGH project activities.
- support young people to prepare procurement plan for their initiatives and support them in implementing the initiatives
Responsibility 3: Internal coordination
- participates in internal coordination meetings and communicates regularly (by direct presence or through Skype) with PM.
- participates in bi-weekly internal coordination meetings and communicates regularly with PM.
- meets monthly with PM and MEAL to review progress against targets on contractual and soft indicators, and to ensure continuity of good practices and sharing of challenges/lessons learned.
Responsibility 4: Reporting, planning and communication
- Participates in weekly meetings regarding the activities of the project
- Provides a daily/weekly activity planning and a weekly report to PM.
- Reports to PM any development or change of circumstances regarding the context and actors.

- Record and report on progress, participation, and outcomes.
Responsibility 5: Other tasks
- Provides translation, oral and written when needed.
- Contributes to needs assessment for any possible/future Education/Child Protection project.
- Prepare and implement activity plans and materials provided by TGH.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during all activities.
Required Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education:
- University degree or diploma in Physical Education, Sports Science, Social Sciences, Fine Arts or related field.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilitating Life Skills, PSS, sports or youth activities.
- Strong knowledge of football coaching and youth engagement
- Experience in child protection and inclusion practices.
- Experience of facilitating and conducting trainings
- Familiarity with the Ministry of Culture and Youth, Directorate of Youth and Youth Centers
- Good computer skills especially using KOBO and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping others and commitment to the organization’s mission
Languages:
- Fluency in Arabic is a necessary, knowledge of English is preferred.
