About Heartland Alliance International: Heartland Alliance International’s (HAI) mission is to secure the rights and well-being of marginalized people and communities. HAI envisions a world in which those whose rights have been violated are safe and empowered to actively engage in their communities and be at the forefront of social change.  In Iraq, HAI provides holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, legal aid, violence prevention, and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations.

About the Project:  In October 2019, HAI has started the Marla Ruzicka War Victims Fund Program, a two-year program providing civilian victims of war with services aimed at recovering their physical and mental health, supporting their social reintegration and restoring their human rights violated as a result of the conflict. The program is implemented by a consortium of NGOs comprised of Heartland Alliance International, Handicap International working closely with Iraqi Association of Disability Organizations, War Child United Kingdom, and Al Taqwa organization.

 

The program entails setting up two Trauma Rehabilitation and Treatment Centers (TRTCs) in Baghdad and Basra which will provide physiotherapy, psychiatric, psychological and psychosocial support services, as well as legal assistance to women, men, boys and girls, including persons with disabilities, whose rights have been grossly violated as a result of the war. The centers will use a case management model and group sessions and will involve both center-based and outreach mobile services.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Data entry and information management

  • Support the WVF project Coordinators in any data entry, data collection, data management and other administrative duties under the direct supervision of the M&E Coordinator.
  • Provide the required support to conduct satisfaction survey on monthly or quarterly bases.
  • Support the M&E Coordinator in data management and data analysis.
  • Data analysis and use of data
  • Assist in compilation of data and interpreting the statistics for various reports as needed.
  • Assist the M&E Coordinator in Database cleaning for WVF project activates.
  • Act as a focal point in term of data collection among HAI case management team and service providers in WVF project.
  • Setting light tool for project tracking including completion dates and numbers of beneficiaries.
  • Provide statistics and data analysis as required

Digital data collection forms and databases

  • Assist in the development of forms in online for data collection platforms for needs assessment planned in the projects
  • Set up database, maintenance and mapping on collective center assessment according to instructions of the M&E Coordinator, visualization on interactive web site.

The candidate must be able to travel widely across Iraq, particularly Anbar, Basra and KRG if needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or other related field, graduate degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience coordinating data and project verification exercise through Proven skills to analyses statistical information
  • Possesses Advanced MS office skills (e.g. pivot tables, functions, etc.).
  • Ability to translate planning-specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis, and vice versa.
  • Ability to compile and holistically analyze diverse datasets.
  • Demonstrated information management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies.
  • Understanding of relational data theory.

 

Computer Skills: 

  • Demonstrated basic skills in Microsoft Excel, and use of online plat forms for data collection
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Exchange
  • Other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance;

 

Language Skills: 

  • Functional oral and written English communication skill is mandatory (working ability);
  • Fluent in Arabic; reading, writing and speaking ability required and for Kurdish Language it will be desirable

  • Strong communication skills-including explaining questions into simpler language that is understood by participants
  • Excellent relationship management skills (both professional and person relationships) Candidates should be flexible, have a sense of humor and patience.

  • Interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for religious and ethnic minority communities in Iraq and the IKR.
