Organizational context
Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) is a non-profit organization that operates abroad, in the context of humanitarian aid and development cooperation. It is a respected member of the international network, Caritas Internationalis, and Caritas Europa. Its foreign activities focus on the health and social sectors and on developing livelihood for the local population and education of children and adults.
- Purpose of the Position
The Project Officer (PO) will be responsible for overall implementation of Caritas Czech Republic’s (CCR) Project IR24 in Fallujah, Anbar governorate. He/She will ensure that the project, activities and assets are in accordance with CCR and donor regulations and requirements. The position will have one direct report – Livelihoods Assistant.
- Major Responsibilities
- Initiate identification, assessment and selection of the beneficiaries.
- In coordination with Support department and area coordinator initiate procurements of the project.
- Keep the records on spending, procurement and other supporting documents.
- With support of Area Coordinator liaise between community members, Stakeholders through the design of effective two-way communications and mechanisms for mutual adjustment
- Provide the CCR team with continuous feedback on Project status and contextual changes.
- Provide timely and quality inputs for the project reports.
- Support the financial administration of projects, including managing invoicing processes, expenses reconciliation and budget management and reporting.
- Ensuring that all procurement processes are in line with CCR’s Procurement manuals
- Prepare inventory list and asset register and update it on regular basis
- Support Development and implementation of Community projects in the target location.
- In accordance to the selection process recruit CfW laborers to work on the community project
- Support development of business scale up plans, facilitate selection of the scale up plans and dispatch grants.
- Participate on regular meetings initiated by the consortium lead.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing project highly desirable in livelihoods sector.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, public administration or another related field.
- Good computer skills - MS Office & database.
- Good control and supervisory skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and Good writing and speaking skills in English.
