Description
Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Head, Peacebuilding and Stabilization Division (PSD), the overall supervision of the Legal Program Officer, and the direct supervision of the Senior Program Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of IOM Peacebuilding and Stabilization Division in Iraq.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Overall support the Program Officer to implement the legal assistance portfolio.
- Design tools and support in budget tracking, ensuring updates align with budget expansions and changes.
- Visualize and present the available budgets and monthly forecasting updates.
- Lead on data quality checks on the Information Management System.
- Conduct capacity-building activities based on program needs.
- Process PR’s and advance payments for field staff to implement legal assistance, including legal representation.
- Collaborate with the Project Assistant to address all field staff requirements.
- Prepare supporting documentation to clear accounts used on cash advances.
- Conduct inductions for new staff and providing necessary training for field staff on expenditure and settlement processes.
- Undertake any additional duties and functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and information technology, Business Management, Public Administration, or any related field from an accredited academic university or institute with 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience working in grants management is an advantage.
- Previous experience working in (inter)national non-governmental organizations is an advantage.
- Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally.
- diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills.
- Excellent facilitation and liaison skills.
Languages:
- Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is required.
