PHARMACY STOREKEEPER

under DoH contract assigned to Al Salam Teaching Hospital

MSF Switzerland is looking for a Pharmacy Storekeeper

Main purpose of the role:

Execute the pharmacy/medical warehouse storing activities in order to maintain pharmacy stock adherent to good distribution practice and policies and following recommended conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness of the pharmacy, etc.) under the technical supervision of the Mission Pharmacist.

Apply MSF principles, values and internal regulation. Apply MSF procedures and adhere to the rules implemented by MSF within Covid hospital.

Other  tasks of the role:  

• Supervising material orders and dispatching in order to ensure rational use.
• Receiving orders, identifying potential disparities against packing lists and reporting them to supervisor. Storing medical items in accordance with MSF standards and procedures.
• Ensuring good storage conditions of all medical items in the pharmacy in accordance with pharmaceutical standards and good distribution practice and policy.
• Ensuring correct and timely filling out and maintaining of stock cards on regular basis. Carrying out regular inventories including department stocks if requested.
• Controlling warehouse facilities in order to ensure materials are kept in good Storage conditions.
• Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months.
• Monitoring temperature in the warehouse and all other cold chain equipment present in MSF Covid 19-centre twice a day. Ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored and transported in accordance with MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols.
• Ensuring cleanliness of premises (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the logistics department, maintaining refrigerating equipment.
• Controlling and limiting warehouse access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regards to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.
• Ensuring that items to be quarantined (on-going quality alerts) or to be placed in quarantine zone (batch recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked.

الهدف الاساسي من الوظيفة :

تنفيذ أنشطة تخزين الصيدلية / المستودعات الطبية من أجل الحفاظ على مخزون الصيدلية ملتزمًا بممارسات وسياسات التوزيع الجيدة واتباع الشروط الموصي بها (درجة الحرارة، الرطوبة، نظافة الصيدلية، إلخ) تحت الإشراف الفني من صيدلي البعثة.

 تطبيق مبادئ منظمة أطباء بلا حدود وقيمها ولوائحها الداخلية. طبق إجراءات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود والتزم بالقواعد التي تطبقها منظمة أطباء بلا حدود داخل مستشفى كوفيد.

المسؤوليات :

•     الإشراف على أوامر المواد والإيفاد من أجل ضمان الاستخدام الرشيد.

•     تلقي الطلبات ، وتحديد التباينات المحتملة ضد قوائم التعبئة والإبلاغ عنها إلى المشرف. تخزين المواد الطبية وفقًا لمعايير وإجراءات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود.

•     ضمان ظروف تخزين جيدة لجميع المواد الطبية في الصيدلية وفقا للمعايير الصيدلانية وممارسات وسياسة التوزيع الجيدة.

•     ضمان التعبئة الصحيحة وفي الوقت المناسب والحفاظ على بطاقات المخزون على أساس منتظم. إجراء عمليات جرد دورية بما في ذلك مخزون القسم إذا طلب ذلك.

•     التحكم في مرافق المستودعات من أجل ضمان الاحتفاظ بالمواد في ظروف تخزين جيدة.

•     متابعة مستويات المخزون فيما يتعلق بحدود الإنذارات ونفاذ المخزون وتواريخ انتهاء الصلاحية والأدوية التي تنتهي صلاحيتها في الأشهر الستة التالية.

•     مراقبة درجة الحرارة في المستودع وجميع معدات سلسلة التبريد الأخرى الموجودة في مركز  كوفيد-19 لأطباء بلا حدود مرتين في اليوم. التأكد من أن المنتجات التي تتطلب سلسلة التبريد يتم تخزينها ونقلها بشكل مناسب وفقًا لبروتوكولات التوريد وسلسلة التبريد لأطباء بلا حدود.

•     ضمان نظافة المباني (صيدلية المخزون) وبالتعاون الوثيق مع قسم اللوجستي ، صيانة معدات التبريد.

•     التحكم والحد من الوصول إلى المستودعات للموظفين المصرح لهم وضمان الأبواب والمخارج الأخرى مؤمنة. إبلاغ المدير المباشر على الفور بأي مشاكل تنشأ في سياق العمل ، لا سيما فيما يتعلق بالتلف أو الضياع أو محاولة الاقتحام أو السرقة في المستودع.

•     التأكد من إزالة العناصر التي سيتم عزلها (تنبيهات الجودة المستمرة) أو وضعها في منطقة الحجر الصحي (عمليات سحب الدُفعات أو العناصر منتهية الصلاحية أو التالفة) من المخزون وإقفالها بأمان.

Requirements:

• Essential experience of minimum 2 years as a Pharmacist, Pharmacist Assistant or storekeeper.
• Desirable experience MSF or other NGOs
• Essential Degree as Pharmacist or Pharmacist Assistant or in Stock Management
• Essential Fluency in Arabic and desirable basic understanding of English
• Essential basic mathematics an use of measuring equipment
• Essential basic computer skills
• For applicants with foreign certificates, Iraqi recognised state-diploma is required.
• For applicants registered under DOH Ninewa, a non-objection letter should be provided only if the staff is selected.

• مطلوب الطلاقة في اللغة العربية و يفضل فهم أساسيات اللغة الإنجليزية·

• مطلوب مهارات الكمبيوتر الأساسية
• المتقدمين من ذوي الشهادات الأجنبية، مطلوب شهادة معادلة لها ومعترف بها من الحكومة العراقية
• المتقدمين التابعين لدائرة صحة نينوى، يجب تقديم كتاب عدم ممانعة فقط إذا تم اختيار الموظفين

MSFCH will manage COVID-19 Intensive Care Facility in the Al Salam Teaching Hospital, Mosul, in order to support DOHN’s response to COVID-19 pandemic by providing lifesaving intensive care for COVID-19 confirmed severe cases.

ADDITIONAL INFO

As a part of the MSFCH team, you will be directly exposed to potential contact with COVID-19 patients. Therefore, all interested candidates must ensure not to have any medical pre-existing condition that would make them more vulnerable in case of contamination of the virus.

COVID 19

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. People with the following pre-existing medical conditions are more vulnerable to develop complications from this disease:

 - Age > 60 years old

- Obesity and Severe Obesity – BMI >30 and ≥ 40

- Diabetes

- Cardiovascular Disease, including hypertension, coronary disease, arrhythmia, heart failure

- Chronic lung disease (including asthma, COPD, TB), heavy smokers

- Chronic kidney or liver disease, including Hepatitis B/C

- Pregnancy

- Immunosuppression/immunocompromising conditions such as:

• Cancer treatment
• Bone marrow or solid organ transplant
• Immunodeficiencies
• hIV/AIDS
