Description

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Livelihoods Specialist will provide
technical leadership and hands-on support for the implementation of livelihoods and
economic reintegration activities within the Community Security and
Socioeconomic Reintegration of Vulnerable and At-Risk of Marginalization
People of Returnees and Community Members project. The project aims to
improve human security and stability in the targeted areas through a three-pronged
approach:
1. Livelihoods and economic reintegration
2. Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support Services (MHPSS)
3. Establishment and operationalization of One-Stop-Information Centers
(OSICs), including safe spaces for women
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of livelihoods and economic reintegration support
activities, including:
 Market-driven vocational training and technical skills development for
beneficiaries
 Enterprise support package consisting of business skills training, an average
grant of 2,489,000 IQD per beneficiary, and ongoing coaching and mentorship
to ensure sustainability and profitability
• Travel between project sites in Anbar, Tikrit, Kirkuk, Mosul, and Sinjar to
ensure smooth implementation
• Provide regular follow-up and progress reporting
• Develop partnerships with the private sector and financial institutions to
expand access to financing and support business growth
• Provide ongoing guidance and mentoring to beneficiaries in managing their
small enterprises, including advice on marketing, financial management, and
job creation
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of livelihoods activities to ensure
sustainable and positive outcomes for beneficiaries, with flexibility to adapt
plans based on field data
• Collect and analyze data related to livelihoods interventions and ensure
accurate entry into donor-designated systems, in line with reporting
requirements and technical standards, in coordination with the Monitoring,
Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, preferably in development studies, business
administration, economics, social sciences, or gender studies
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing technical supervision and support in
vocational training and business support interventions (please specify titles,
objectives, descriptions, and duration of at least two relevant projects in your CV or
cover letter)

• Experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving is an asset
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
• Legal right to live and work in Iraq, with ability to travel within and outside the KRI
region
• Willingness to start work on short notice
