Description

 The distribution Officer is a core member of the project team and is in charge of carrying out the beneficiary identification and lead the distribution process, distribution site selection process, set up and carry out the distribution and ensure strong community involvement and participation in the project, and will support in the implementation of non-food items (SOKs) distribution in the above-mentioned areas.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and arrange distributions according to SOP defined by CCR.
  • Make sure of the successful implementation of NFI distributions, and work with the Area Coordinator and Program Manager to ensure program implementation is on time, target and budget as planned.
  • Provide the Area Coordinator with up-to-date information on the affected and targeted beneficiaries/ IPDs, security, and distribution reports.
  • Collect all data needed for reporting during and after distributions and submit accurate and detailed reports on each distribution.
  • Coordinate with base logistic of purchase requests related to NFI distributions needs (staff transportation, movements plans, trucks, daily workers, signs, visibilities) and support logs department on a warehouse tracker updates, in line with CCR procurement procedures.
  • Manage the distribution team (administratively, work plan and follow-up, capacity building, reporting).
  • Ensuring distributions are calm and efficient and that any disputes are avoided/ resolved.
  • Contribute to all field work, participating in distributions, monitoring and supporting staff and beneficiaries during the distribution periods, coordinating with focal points and other stakeholders and other field-based tasks as assigned
  • Support in all aspects of the distribution process from kit release from warehouse, to distribution site set-up, implementation, and kit reconciliation.
  • Work with distribution teams and MEAL colleagues to ensure all information related to kit distribution is recorded appropriately.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Area coordinator and/or Program Manager.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • University degree in related field.
  • Proven abilities to work with community and IDPs.
  • Good communication and dialog skills.
  • 2-years (minimum) professional experience in the emergency programming, team management. Prior experience in distribution, logistics warehousing is an asset.
  • Experience working with NGOs and demonstrated knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes of conducts.
  • Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, strong community outreach skills, detail oriented, honest, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
  • Language skills: fluency in English and fluency in Kurdish language skills is required (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Very Good organizational skills and ability to analyze information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team.
