Position Summary
The Project Assistant will support the Project Coordinator in the day-to-day administrative and logistical operations of the “Strengthening Women’s Rights Organizations and WPS Networks to Advance Equality in Iraq” project. This includes documentation, coordination support, communication with partners, and logistical arrangements for training sessions, meetings, and field visits.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
· Assist in organizing project workshops, coordination meetings, and training activities, including booking venues, preparing materials, and managing attendance sheets.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities, beneficiary lists, and field reports.
· Support the monitoring of advocacy grants and follow up with WROs and WPS networks on documentation and reporting.
· Assist in preparing and formatting activity reports, minutes, presentations, and other communication materials.
· Support the coordination between WEO and partner WROs, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
· Help track deadlines, deliverables, and maintain the project calendar.
· Assist in the procurement of materials, services, and logistics required for project implementation.
· Liaise with the MEAL team to support data collection and beneficiary feedback processes.
· Ensure proper filing and digital archiving of all project-related documents.
· Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in administration, social sciences, or a related field.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in project support roles, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
· Familiarity with equality and women’s rights issues in Iraq is highly desirable.
· Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of filing and document management.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a diverse team and with external stakeholders.
· Fluency in Arabic and Kurdish is required; English proficiency is a strong asset.
· Willingness to travel within Iraq as required.
