Duties (Summary)

The incumbent is responsible for administering formal written contracts, negotiates, extends, and terminates contracts to include pre-award and post-award functions. Formulates and coordinates contract proposals. Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in formulating bid proposals. Evaluates or monitors contract performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations. Approves or rejects requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules. Arbitrates claims or complaints occurring in the performance of contracts. Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine the reasonableness of prices. May serve as liaison officer to ensure fulfillment of obligations by contractors.  Reports directly to the GSO Procurement Supervisor.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education

Two (2) Years of General College or university studies is required.

 

Prior Work Experience

Four (4) years of experience progressively working with formal contracts or in the Procurement Field is required.

Language Required (This may be tested)

English & Arabic level IV (Fluent) Written/Speaking/Reading is required.
