Green Desert is a humanitarian, nonprofit, nonpolitical, nongovernmental Iraqi organization assisting traumatized people and children in Iraq and Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Our main areas of specialties are mental health & psychosocial support (MHPSS) education, child protection and livelihood. Our assistances reach the IDPs, Refugees, Returnees, Remainees and the Host Communities, in Mosul, Kirkuk and Erbil provinces.

Fleet & Driver
- Personally, and through team members assist to deliver the service plans and objectives for the Fleet operations team.
- To undertake the safe transportation of all passengers.
- To ensure compliance with safe practice in respect of all passenger particularly wheelchair users.
- To Supervise and manage the drivers, ensure they adhere to the local traffic regulations.
- To ensure that all vehicles comply with internal & national traffic rules, insurance requirements and routine maintenance is in place for safety drive.
- To monitor all the fuel costs for the Green Desert vehicles and report them to the HoS on monthly basis.
- To coordinate travels to ensure all requested field travels are well managed for operations continuity and arrange for airport travels as requested by the Travel office to ensure all pick up and drop offs are consistently executed.
Generators
- To ensure that periodic maintenance is in place and coordinates with Procurement Department for spare part/repairing service when required.
- To Maintain generator logbook, fuel consumption follow-up and liaise with the Procurement Department for refueling.
Admin
- To monitor the daily cleaning process in GD office.
- To monitor daily kitchen needs for GD office, doing necessary procurement for that purpose
- To check fire extinguishers on a monthly basis in the GD office and report to the HoS .
- To check the building on a daily basis or any maintenance and/or repairs needed.
- To make sure to turn off all electrical devices in GD buildings before leaving the duty station.
- To ensure there is drinking water ready for use in the office guest houses.
Reporting to: the Head of Support
Bachelors or Diploma Degree –
At least 1 year of experience with NGOs.
Good knowledge of Kurdish, English and Arabic Languages.
Good knowledge of MS offices (Word, Excel and outlook)
