Description

To be part of a Livelihood Program, database team responsible for Information Management and field assessments to support the smooth flow of information related to Participants.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Abide by Mercy Hands code of conduct, under full authority of the Database Manager and the Project Manager, the Database officer  responsibilities and duties are as follow:

 

  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience of working with (NGOs) Non-Governmental Organizations preferably in livelihoods.
  • Strong contextual understanding of Basra governorate.
  • Work effectively as a team member and help build relationships within the team. Actively help and support others to achieve team goals.
  • Active participation to field assessments (logistic organization, identification of needs, monitoring).
  • Assist in the registration of targeting participants.
  • Make field arrangements for planned visits to project locations.
  • Assist Database Manager in the preparation of all documents and forms necessary for the implementation of the FFA project.
  • Regularly monitor project activities and provide timely inputs and feedback to the Database Manager.
  • Facilitation of (or assist in the facilitation of) trainings for Organization staff and beneficiaries when needed.
  • Set up (or assist to set up) a clear beneficiary follow-up mechanisms and ensures that appropriate follow-ups are made to support  beneficiary.
  • Promote equality, diversity and human rights in working practices.
  • Attend training courses, workshops and sessions under the supervision of the project Manager.

 

  • Prepare and fill out the information forms designed by the project manager, database manager or project manager for the purposes recording beneficiaries' information.
  • Make best use of information technology and communication facilities.

 

  • Ability to travel to other governorates for purposes of attending workshops or conferences.
