
This Internship is to allow people in their early career to gain exposure and experience working in the humanitarian system, through on-the-job training, program and operations work experience and site visits.
The HR intern shall be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources department in Erbil office in regard to archiving, documentation, transaction procedures, and maintaining fully validated HR records.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintaining current filing system in Human Resources department, this includes but not limited to, organizing personal documents of employees, updating current personal files of employees with the missing documents.
- Supporting the HR Assistant in updating the personnel records filing system in HR Department and IRC file storage to ensure that all the required HR documents are available on Box.
- Scan key HR documents for maintaining electronic version as the backup of mitigating potential risk.
- Getting the approvals for all HR papers (contracts, contract extensions, letters…) in a timely manner.
- Record daily paperwork of employees submitted to HR department, like (but not limited with) leave requests, formal letters, and time sheets.
- Assisting the human resources department in processing all Iraq ID and Business cards by providing the requested forms to Supply chain department and coordinating with them.
- Perform other duties as needed or requested by Supervisor.

- Diploma or University degree in relevant fields.
- Interest in humanitarian field, specifically in HR is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to learn, work under pressure and communicate with employees from all levels.
- Very strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Ability to multitask and able to speak and interpret instructions that are in English and Arabic.
- Maintain high level of confidentiality wherever the incumbent comes across sensitive information/data.
