
Context
Under the overall supervision of IOM Iraq MHPSS Programme Coordinator, the administrative supervision of
the Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of MHPSS National Coordinator in close coordination
with the CSU Area Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the MHPSS
programme activities, also related to the COVID-19 response by performing the following functions and
responsibilities:
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Support in collecting data and identifying beneficiaries.
2. Support activity implementation.
3. Support community mapping and conflict assessment activities
4. Facilitate meeting with local CSO’s, community member committees, youth centers and other relevant
actors.
5. Facilitate icebreakers, energizers and structured awareness sessions.
6. Lead the announcement of activities and public events.
7. Conduct family visits to identify vulnerable families and connect them with the staff.
8. Develop a weekly activity plan alongside CSU and MHPSS colleagues
9. Participate effectively in internal coordination meetings.
10. Provide feedback and suggestions to the community center team leader, CSU area coordinator, and
MHPSS coordinator teams.
11. Provide translation for beneficiaries, trainers and staff as needed.
12. Document activities through photos and notes
13. Coordinate with local CSO’s, volunteer’s groups, and schools for joint activities and collaboration
14. Facilitate roundtable discussions with participants and IOM staff for the review and evaluation of
activities.
15. Deliver reports at the end of each activity with recommendations.
16. Contribute to monthly reporting requirements.
17. Ensure that confidentiality and the right to privacy is maintained with regard to confidential
information.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or any related field studies from an academic accredit university or
institute.
Experience:
At least 2 years of professional experience in similar context.
Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally
diverse backgrounds.
Languages:
Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish is required.
