MAIN OBJECTIVE

Studying ancient caves in the region of Sharya.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

• Field studies for the project sites (network of ancient caves).
• Producing a valid report/paper about the interested area of the project site (Sharya).
• Follow up on the procurement of the materials for equipping the caves to be suitable as production sites for mushrooms, in order to preserve the cultural heritage of the area.
• Close collaboration and team working with the archaeologist
• Provide assistance and coordinate with the project manager and the project assistant.
• Keep records of all information related to project for documentation, clarification and presentation to the Line Manager.
• Perform any other relevant duties as required.

STUDIES REQUIREMENTS

University degree in Archaeology, background or university experience/internship/training in preservation of the cultural heritage would be desirable.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

7-8 years of overall professional job experience and 2-3 years relevant to the functions or in related fields, with INGOs or IOs in conflict and crisis areas.

Previous experience in following and implementing cultural heritage project is desirable.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Languages: Working knowledge of English, proficiency in Arabic, and Kurdish proficiency is preferred.
• IT skills: Ability to effectively use standard office software, such as MS Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point).
