Duties (Summary)

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Legal Attaché, this position serves as a security investigator. The incumbent conducts and coordinates investigations related to terrorist activities, counter-intelligence matters, and criminal investigations. S/he will develop, maintain, and liaison with all levels of Kurdish law enforcement and host government agencies. The incumbent also provides expert advice and guidance on Iraqi culture and Kurdistan Region security services. S/he is required to handle office administrative duties, set up meetings with liaison contacts, and translate.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education

Two (2) years of general college or university studies is required. 

Prior Work Experience

Two (2) years of experience in any of the following fields: military, police, government or private sector security, government or private sector administration, government or non-government humanitarian organization, or interpreter/translator services, is required.

Language Required 

English level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (This may be tested)

Kurdish level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (This may be tested)

Arabic level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (This may be tested)
