Under the supervision of the program manager at Mercy Hands, the Coordinator will conduct his/her work according to the framework of the program and project implementation requirements.
The Coordinator will coordinate and cooperate with relevant stakeholders. He/She will also maintain an optimum level of contact between the beneficiary community and the team in order to promote a successful outcome for the project.
Furthermore, the program assistant will act as a project assistant by liaising between project team leader, authorities, team members and other stakeholders as well as ensuring the team works diligently to meet all required deadlines.
- Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
The Coordinator will be under direct supervision of the program manager.
- Establishing new relationships with relevant Humanitarian Organizations and Civil society institutes operating on the ground.
- Maintaining an optimum level of coordination with already organizations which MH has existing relationships and/or projects with.
- Direct communication with Ministries and all relevant authorities in order to obtain the necessary approvals and coordination to allow the project to move forward successfully.
- Coordinate with relevant active stakeholders (National and International NGOs).
- Liaise between different key players in favor of coordination and centralization of activities.
- Representation of MH at different meetings, workshops and conferences.
- Public information through dissemination and updating of activities on the MH website.
- Compile data, pictures and program activities in order to present MH activities in flyers, bulletins and announcements.
- Responsible for the accurate filing and reporting of all legal cases and consultations accepted.
Reporting
- Daily contact with program manager regarding team activities and accomplishments.
- Submission of periodic reports to team leader on accomplished tasks and recommendations.
- Excellent English, and Arabic. (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in reporting skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining an accurate filing system and online database.
- Has initiative, flexibility, and team work spirit.
- Communication skills with Humanitarian Agencies, Authorities and Community Leaders.
- Ability to positively represent MH and the project in meetings, conferences and workshops.
