Description

Aim of the position: The Community facilitators will be in charge of carrying out community based activities and facilitating participatory mapping exercises and community consultations on the field within the intervention of an AICS project in Falluja.  

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the community consultation for various assessments on vulnerability, capabilities, risks for the population, main needs, key actors.
  • Organise together with the coordinator community-based activities, workshop and events for children, adolescents and adults to strengthen dialogue and social cohesion within the community.
  • Collaborate with community leaders, local authorities, and organizations to ensure the successful implementation of activities
  • Ensure correct project data collection and reporting tools.
  • Perform other duties within area of responsibility, as requested by the supervisor.

Reporting to: Coordinator Community-based Activities.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, sociology, anthropology, social work or a related field of study.
  • At least 1 year of experience in development/Humanitarian context.
  • written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English language

Required skills and experiences:

  • IT skills: Ability to effectively use standard office software, such as MS Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Exchange).
  • Proficiency in facilitating focus groups or community consultations.
  • Ability to solve problems independently with innovative and creative approaches.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
  • Excellent ability to work in a team.
