Terms of Reference
Casual Worker: Agriculture Trainer - Kirkuk
1. Collaborate with the Agriculture Expert to develop and adapt training materials tailored to local needs and value chains.
2. Deliver training using the Farmer Field School (FFS) approach, ensuring hands-on, participatory learning.
3. Provide Training to 160 farmers and 12 DoA staff with the other trainers team on modern agricultural techniques, climate-smart practices, occupational health, safety, and environment (HSE),
4. Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge gained.
5. Participate in baseline and vulnerability assessments for beneficiary selection.
6. Provide at least three mentorship sessions per beneficiary post-grant disbursement, supporting business plan implementation and asset utilization.
7. Guide farmers on accessing financial instruments and improving market access for agricultural products.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the livelihoods or agricultural development sector.
3. Proven experience in training delivery, especially using participatory methods like FFS.
4. Strong knowledge of Climate Smart Agriculture and gender-sensitive practices.
5. Experience working with NGOs and/or government institutions.
6. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong documentation skills (training plans, manuals, reports).
8. Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; English is an advantage.
9. Candidates from Kirkuk (Daquq, Dibis, Al-Rashad districts) are preferred.
10. Priority will be given to female and PWD candidates.
