
Project Summary: The project of “Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas in Sulaymaniyah and Halabja Governorates” aims to empower women in Halabja and Sulaymaniyah Governorates by strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting the creation of women-led micro-businesses through technical and financial assistance, and facilitating the growth of existing businesses with advanced support, mentorship, and improved access to markets and funding.
Job Summary: The Field Officer will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day implementation of project activities at the community level. Working directly with women entrepreneurs, CSOs, local authorities, and private sector partners, the officer will ensure effective outreach, mobilization, coordination, and follow-up to ensure successful delivery of training, mentoring, awareness campaigns, and financial support schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with local stakeholders (CSOs, government bodies, private actors) for mapping and engagement.
· Organize and support workshops, study visits, and community events.
· Identify and mobilize eligible women entrepreneurs for incubator and accelerator programs.
· Support delivery of MFI training sessions and follow up with participants for loan readiness.
· Conduct field monitoring visits and gather feedback on training, loan utilization, and mentoring.
· Support stakeholder alliance meetings and ensure regular communication and reporting.
· Collect and verify participant data, ensure gender balance and inclusivity.
· Contribute to logistical planning and documentation of all field-level activities.
· Act as a liaison between project beneficiaries and the project coordinator.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach, field coordination, or women-focused programs.
· Experience working with civil society, local government, or rural communities.
· Understanding of micro-enterprise development and community mobilization strategies.
· Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, particularly in rural settings.
· Ability to coordinate events, trainings, and community sessions independently.
· Skilled in collecting field data and conducting beneficiary follow-ups.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in Kurdish; English and Arabic preferred.
· Competent in using digital communication tools and Microsoft Office.
· Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the project locations.
